Following a routine really helps me stay regulated. Everyday is different, except my morning and evening routine stay consistent. Starting each day with a general schedule is extremely helpful. I have my schedule for the day on a white board and then each activity is structured accordingly. It helps me to have each thing timed, so I know how much time is left. I like knowing what to expect because it helps me regulate my body and mind to stay on task for longer periods of time. While I can memorize a schedule, it helps to have it written because it is more concrete. Timed breaks helped me develop more endurance, so I could stick with activities for longer periods of time. Overall, structure helps the day run smoothly.
