I recently did a presentation on friendship at SpellX. This has been my biggest year of growth and I attribute that to the friendships I have made. It has taught me a lot about myself to see how we are all different, but can come together to better ourselves. I wrote this hoping to encourage spellers to get involved in groups, for parents to see how essential participation is, and to inspire providers to create a community for their spellers. It is never easy to start or join something new, but the joy it brings is irreplaceable.
